InfoWeb & Designers |
The InfoWeb system gives designers the freedom to design. If you are reasonably familiar with computers you can create a highly functional site - even if you know nothing about HTML. For example, the web site for St. Clement's Church was designed by the pastor and a member who is a talented artist. The site was created using only the built-in InfoWeb tools. While you won't be able to see the Intranet for church members or the InfoWeb tools, check out the public part of their site. For professional designers, the InfoWeb system is a perfect choice for the client who needs a database driven, dynamic web site. For example, Elissa Cristall Gallery required a system where new artists and artwork could be added and removed frequently. The InfoWeb system provided much of the required functionality, but custom home and artist pages were needed. The designer, Dan Docksteader, provided us with JPEG files showing his vision. With a few modifications to the system, we enacted the web site. The gallery owner put in the actual content using the InfoWeb tools. Because of this, significant savings were achieved in the initial development and ongoing maintenance costs. Again, access to the InfoWeb tools requires a userid and password.
